NONODD
Kato Molinaritrans. Brian Cole
Detrás de su cuerpo sólo cabía un
pañuelo de hierbas, una hoja de
viejo libro o un retazo de tul con
lunares. Detrás de su cuerpo toda una
multitud se ocupaba en actividades
pares. Era de noche y había dejado
de llover. No obstante las charcas
brillaban y advertían inútilmente.
Detrás de su cuerpo estaban los que
vivían y no temían equivocarse o,
en todo caso, no recordaban. Ella (¿yo?)
se enjugó la cara en otro pañuelo,
generó pequeños ruidos y extendió la
mano hacia la hoja de viejo libro.
Todo intento improductivo.
Behind her body went only a
scarf of grasses, a leaf
from an old book or a remnant of torn
silk. Behind her body a whole
multitude was busy with similar
activities. It was night and it had stopped
raining. However the puddles
shone their useless warnings.
Behind her body there were those
who lived and were not afraid to be wrong or,
in any case, did not remember. She (I?)
wiped her face with another handkerchief,
made little noises and held out
a hand to the leaf from the old book.
Every attempt a failure.
