BONES - I ESGYRN - I
Nigel Wellstrans. Caryl Lewis
Take
snout bone off squat giant,
haired limb from vile woman,
hingeless musculature (that of
the domestic leech works well);
add one grown belly button,
a fold of blanched skin (the
thinner the better but include
any blemish or apparent wound);
blend wild eye-lard with knuckle-
oil in equal measure, drizzle
over the other ingredients;
roll (the bloodless dough) to
form an inharmonious whole;
decorate (sex and scar tissue
make a nice arrangement), serve
on a chilled landscape;
thus
some inexorable myth
comes bowling along
fact is ...
Cymerwch
asgwrn trwyn cawr bach crwn,
cymal blewog wrth hen wrach,
cyhyrau heb un colyn (gwnaiff
rhai'r gelen gyffredin y tro);
ychwanegwch un botwm bogel tew,
tagell o groen wedi' i sgaldio (gorau
po feinaf gan gynnwys, cofiwch,
bob brycheuyn neu glwyf ar glawr);
cyfunwch saim-y-llygad gwyllt gydag olew'r
cogwrn am yn ail a'u tywallt
dros y cynhwysion eraill;
rholiwch (y toes di-waed) i
greu cyfanwaith anghyflawn;
addurnwch (croen craith a chyfathrach
sy'n gweddu'n dda), gweiniwch
pryd ar dirlun oer;
felly
daw rhyw chwedl
i fowlio heibio'n ddidostur
mae'n siŵr ...
