BEL M'ES CAN S'ESCLARZIS L'ONDA ... | I LIKE SEEING WAVES ... |

VIII E non puesc mudar non gronda Del vostre dan moilherzin, E pos res non reman per mi Si l'us pela l'autre tonda E reuerc contra raüs. |
I I like seeing waves turn clearer I like it when garden birds all rejoice in various song: all their song resounds with singing and my singing's best of all. II The rejoicing science taught me, when the sun declines from view: praise the day and stop before dawn and don't answer every jester and with laggards do not lag. III All this baseness splashes over like the waves on ships at sea, so my neighbor's dominated lest he spread the word about.this and I've cuckold for a name. IV Satisfaction's not for envy nor for all the covetous neither yet for covetousness: Those who envy and the grasping always come back to the pits. V Nastiness can't go in hiding now that on the selfsame road all the rich are following it, and where baseness is abundant nastiness mounts up behind. VI It's not likely that high-ranking libertines will feel the shame, but a cursèd little baboon: HE will have it as he needs it (often) and he groans for it. VII For he has a second entry, I assure you, this is why: husbands hats' have horns from their cunts for their wives got great by grafting only, so says Marcabru. VIII I just cannot keep from scolding since you harm your women so, and there's no one listening to ME: one shaves hair, another cuts it but they all shake off the blame. IX All your gentry's spilling over like a stupid jackass trick: now and then when canines will laugh. I just hope that God confounds them. After all, he wants the best. T1 If Gironde's peers are ascending even more they can ascend. T2 If they but confute the Pagans: Jesus has commanded this. |
