Hear me, gardener, I am a seed resting in the earth, waiting for the coming warmth. You have seen thousands like me, but listen to my words - I awake. I have broken the shell that held me back, my tender roots are anchored in the soil, how far I have come! Is your only thought that I have not yet flowered? I am still an ‘ugly duckling’, small and clumsy, I know, but I shall grow and change and learn the ways of the wind and sun. I shall grow tall, gardener, and you will see. |
