the willow stands erect
so pride flourishes
here in the world
it may live long
but the fire-axe
splits it
the Wind
throws it down
ephemeral is the count
of Flower life
at sunrise
it burgeons
at sunset
it weeps in death
the whole thing on earth
must end
life is ephemeral
and sinks into the pit
the whole earth belly
is a grave
there is nothing
it can sustain
it hides
it buries
the water course, the river
the stream, the spring:
none
goes back
