A TOUT CE QUI MENACE ...
TO EVERYTHING THAT ENDANGERS ...

A tout ce qui menace
terre
vers
et ma bouche ensablée
je tends le secret
dont l'hiver immobile
a béni le givre.

Le jour obscur
s'incline sur sa gloire
entre l'or et la nuit
d'un amour blessé.
To everything that endangers
earth
worms
and my sand-filled mouth
I offer the secret
whose motionless winter
blessed the frost

The dark day
bows before its glory
between the gold and the night
of a wounded love.
